Learning a lot about medical cannabis

Depending on what state is your home, medical cannabis may already be legal for you.

I have just discovered the joys of medical weed, but I still have a lot to learn about it.

I assumed when the laws changed then that would be the end of it – pot was legal to buy, sell, and smoke, so what else was there to talk about? I have learned that the local and state laws have changed, but the federal laws are still in place. It’s very scary to think that federal agents could arrest me at any time for something we just voted to legalize. I have also learned that medical cannabis dispensaries can’t take personal checks, credit cards, or debit cards. Medical cannabis products can only be purchased in cash, which leads me to another very interesting discovery. Some of the local medical cannabis dispensaries have tens of thousands of dollars in cash on hand. This makes them frequent targets of armed robbers. I had no idea there was so much drama and intrigue in the medical cannabis industry! Over a long weekend, when the banks are closed, a major medical cannabis dispensary might end up with a hundred thousand dollars in cash in their safe. That’s a pretty juicy target for a criminal. Because of this many medical cannabis shops employ armed guards to watch the store overnight. This may sound stupid, but to me the idea of being an armed guard working the graveyard shift in a medical cannabis shop sounds like a great job. Don’t you agree?
